Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park is ideally located along the banks of The Great Lake and guests staying onsite can enjoy a day of fishing whilst on holiday at Castle Howard.
Guests are often lucky with their catch and have been known to pull out different fish but it should be noted that fishing is an ancillary offering and it is not a managed lake.
Holiday Home Owners at Lakeside can enjoy complimentary fishing on The Great Lake. A relaxing way to spend an afternoon surrounded by nature.
Tourers and campers are permitted to fish for a small fee of £7 per person, per stay. Permits can be purchased from Reception at Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park. A valid rod license must be shown when purchasing your license. Night fishing is not permitted.
Please be aware, The Great Lake is no longer a managed fishing lake and we do not have fishing pegs. The fishing offering at Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park is not for the serious fisherman, but is a fun and relaxing day for anglers or first timers.
